First - Give Hammer something to groove to:
Adding some audio to your website is easy - and free! Though there are some companies that charge you to add this type of feature to your site by calling in a testimonial over the phone, having them host the file (with an associated hosting cost), send you code blah blah blah.
You can do it all yourself quickly. Here’s a streamlined solution.
First, download this file. Unzip it and you will see a folder called “audio”, just drop it in the root directory of your site. This is the streamlined version of some other systems out there, but you just want simple audio, not a ton of other features only available on certain platforms - so rest assured everything you need is there.
The code you use to embed the audio is in a txt file within the download. If you already have an mp3 you want played, drop it in the audio file. If you need to make one, then make one - record it on your computer or call your voicemail (if your v-mail is accessible by internet you can grab it there) or use any song you can ethically present.
After you have your audio file in that folder on you site, you just add the code to your website contained in the text file in the download. Yes, you can customize the player, just see the txt file.

Great script. Solved many problems. It’s great. Thank you. Did I mention it’s great. I was trying to stream a little audio clip for an e-Christmas card without the great big default player, winamp, media player, … showing up. Now I have a little player that doesn’t take away from the content I want people to see. Thanx again.
