Web Design Colors Tool - Add Knox Picker to any Website for Free
January 19, 2008
Web designers, I’m offering a color-picker tool today. It’s linked over on the sidebar for easy reference if you want to use it later.
Web designers can add this to their site for their clients. If a client finds a color palette desirable for their web site, the three RGB numbers can be used to apply actual HEX values to the client web site, assuring a perfect match with the client wish.
Feel free to use it here, or use it in your own web site.

Knox,
Nice tool! It would also help designers if you had some sort of “nearest match” note for a given RGB/Hex value realting to CMYK colorspace. A lot of designers need to match (or at least come close to matching) printed colors for their brand identity (for example) to a hex value. If you could input a CMYK set of values and get a nearest match hex value, it would be a valuable asset for any graphic designer or art director who needs to put an organization’s colors into the online world. The Art Directors toolkit that comes preinstalled on Macs has something like that which I use in a pinch (using your tool online would be a lot easier though, especially for those without such a tool on their PC).
Again, excellent tool!

Good suggestions Alan. I’ll see if I can tinker with that in time using the Mac tool as a jumper.

I’m trying to find the art directors toolkit but no luck. I’ll keep digging. New with a mac so I haven’t found everything yet.
